| | Not! Well, it was a festival for sure for Manila Garden who had the ONLY booth for the adobo festival. So granted that this was the first adobo festival in the east bay (most of them are on the peninsula) but still, ONE FRIKKIN BOOTH? Come on? What they did have that was pretty cool was the talent show. Cute kids singing different songs but all in all, it was (hate to say it) but weak! I suppose it's because the expectations were that the priority and them would be lived-up to and by having just one booth serving adobo (which I'm sure Manila Garden didn't mind, that line was hella long) it really didn't make the festival. Now if they had called it a singing festival then it would have been okay since my expectations would have been different. So instead of an adobo festival it was more like a girl's debut or the wedding where all the barangay is invited to. I give it a 2 out of 5 for tricking me and giving us false expectations of having adobo a plenty. On a side not, we went to a lechon place away from the festival since we didn't want to wait in line for a billion hours for adobo. That place was pretty good. The banana lumpia was very good. |
